CONFUSION IN IMO COMMUNITY OVER WHEREABOUT OF 30 YRS OLD MAN

There is palpable fear in Orlu community
following the disappearance of a man in
his thirties, Olanrewaju William Ifashola
after he was accused of killing his friend.
Our reporter who probed into the
matter revealed that following the
alleged killing, Mr Olanrewaju and
his accomplices now at large were
declared wanted by the crime
fighting authorities.
Investigation further showed
that the accused person and
his deceased friend had a
brawl with a group of boys
in the neighbourhood over their
indulgence in gay practice.
Meanwhile, prior to the incident,
it was gathered that the accused
allegedly engaged himself in gayism
with his deceased friend which is
capital crime contrary to the
constitution of Nigeria, and a
serious taboo against the custom
and tradition of the land.
A youth leader in the community,
Comrade Chidi Nzekwe who was
interviewed by our Reporter revealed
that the incident happened in
December 7th, 2023 when the
accused and his late friend accosted
by the group of boys to subject them
to the tradition of cleansing the land o
the atrocities.
The man hurt on the accused
person is to compel him to explain
his role in the alleged murder of
his friend since the village boys
insisted he killed his friend, as
well as to appease the gods of the
land, to avoid further customary
doom in the community which
might befall the indigenes of the
area if not handled.

It can be recalled that since
after he was declared wanted
by crime fighting authorities,
Mr. Olarenwaju has remained
incommunicado and his
whereabout still unknown.
In a chat with one of the elders
of the community, Nze Chikwem
Ezeibe maintained that the
accused, Mr Olarenwaju may
have escaped to avoid being arrest
or killed by youths of the
community he allegedly defiled.
Nze Ezeibe therefore insisted t
hat the accused must be fetched
out alive or dead by authorities
for interrogation over the killing
of his friend and also to face the
charges of gayism levelled
against him
Meanwhile, all efforts to reach
the Spokesperson for
Imo Police Command,
Henry Okoye for reactions
was unsuccessful as at press time.
